GWO Basic Safety Training Fire Awareness Course Objectives
This training module is designed to teach participants how to independently identify and prevent fire hazards in a wind turbine environment. It covers assessing fires and selecting appropriate extinguishing methods for different fire classes, as well as managing personnel evacuation and ensuring safety in unmanageable fire situations. Participants will also learn how to efficiently extinguish initial fires using basic handheld equipment in safe incidents.

| Course Participant Prerequisites: The course participants shall be medically fit, appear well-rested, and be capable of fully participating, showing no signs of fatigue, substance abuse, or sickness. The course participant shall have created a personal profile in WINDA, and have provided their WINDA ID prior to completing the GWO training. When attending refresher training, the course participants must do so before the expiry of the previous training record’s validity period. | |
