Confined Space Awareness Training Course Objectives
This Confined Space Awareness training course is designed to increase awareness of the dangers associated with working in confined spaces and to prepare employees for emergency situations. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical exercises, participants will gain essential knowledge to identify, assess, and manage risks in confined environments.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Select and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Identify common hazards and risk factors in confined spaces
- Understand atmospheric hazards and proper testing procedures
- Follow safe entry and exit protocols, including permit-to-work systems
- Perform the roles of an attendant or entrant according to best practices
- Take preventive safety measures before, during, and after confined space work
- Respond safely and effectively to confined space emergencies
