This Advanced Rescue Training Standard prepares participants to rescue injured persons in a wind turbine using industry-standard methods, techniques, and equipment that exceed GWO BST Working at Height.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Participants completing a GWO Advance Rescue Training Combined course will be able to:

Safely access the hub, spinner, inside blade, nacelle, tower and basement section of a wind turbine to get to an injured person

Perform entry-type casualty rescue operations in a wind turbine generator

Correctly use industry standards rescue equipment and methods

Understand and demonstrate rescue techniques that exceed those GWO BST Working at Heights

Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue (HSIBR)

Nacelle, Tower, and Basement Rescue (NTBR)

Single Rescuer: Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue (SR:HSIBR)

Single Rescuer: Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue (SR:NTBR)

Modules HSIBR + SR. HSIBR and NTBR+ SR.NTBR can be completed independently, allowing learners to tailor their training to their specific needs.

Course Participant Prerequisites:

The course participants shall be medically fit, appear well-rested and be capable of fully participating showing no signs of fatigue, substance abuse or sickness.
The course participant shall have created a personal profile in WINDA, and have provided their WINDA ID prior to completing the GWO training .

When attending refresher training, the course participants must do so before the expiry of the previous training record’s validity perio

In addition, participants must hold a valid WINDA training record for GWO BST, Working at Heights Module, GWO BST, First Aid and GWO BST Manual Handling .
