COURSE OBJECTIVES

The objective of the Basic Safety Training – Refresher Course is to update and reinforce the knowledge and skills acquired in accordance with the STCW convention codes A-VI/1-1; A-VI/1-2; A-VI/1-3; A-VI/1-4.

Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques (Tab. A-VI/1-1)

Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (Tab. A-VI/ 1-2)

Elementary First Aid (Tab. A-VI/ 1-3)

Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (Tab. A-VI/ 1-4)

Target Audience:

All seafarers must complete Basic Safety Training refresher courses every 5 years in accordance with STCW requirements.

Documents required for submission: a copy of the seafarer’s discharge book, confirmed sea service of at least 3 months, a certificate of proficiency in ‘Basic Safety Training’, and 1 photo (3×4).
Price includes the Certificate fee, coffee breaks, lunch and parking.

Course Participant Prerequisites:
The course participants shall be medically fit, appear well-rested and be capable of fully participating showing no signs of fatigue, substance abuse or sickness.
You must have completed the ‘Basic Safety Training’ course program according to the STCW Code A-VI/1-1, A-VI/1-2, A-VI/1-3, and A-VI/1-4 meet the relevant standards. Additionally, you need to demonstrate at least three months of sea service within the last five years.
Certificate validity: 5 years
