GWO BST Fire awareness training helps you to learn: prevention of fires; reducing fire risks; safe fire escape; efficient extinguishing of starting fire by using basic hand held firefighting equipment. Training consist of practical exercises based on actual scenarios and theoretical presentations.

TARGET GROUP

Personnel willing to or currently working in the wind energy industry or similar industries, including turbine manufacturing, wind farm development, wind farm construction, and turbine maintenance, both offshore and onshore.

The aim of this BST Fire Awareness Module is to give the participants the basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to prevent fires, conduct initial and appropriate judgement when evaluating a fire, manage evacuation of personnel to ensure all are safely evacuated and accounted for in the event of an unmanageable fire and, if it is judged to be safe, to efficiently extinguish an initial fire by using basic hand held firefighting equipment.
