GWO Combined Basic Technical Training (4 BTT modules)

The GWO Combined Basic Technical Training (BTT) course equips participants with the core theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills needed to perform basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and bolt tightening tasks in the wind energy industry. This combined training is ideal for those starting their careers in wind turbine operations or seeking to expand their multi-disciplinary technical capabilities.

GWO Combined Basic Technical Training (BTT) Course Objectives

The goal of the GWO BTT Combined course is to prepare participants to safely and effectively support wind turbine operations by:

  1. Performing basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic tasks under supervision
  2. Understanding the components and systems commonly used in wind turbines
  3. Gaining confidence in applying safety procedures and industry best practices
  4. Building a foundation for advanced technical roles in the wind sector

GWO Combined Basic Technical Training offers flexibility to participants. Each of the three modules can be completed independently, allowing learners to tailor their training to their specific needs.

Target Audience:

Entry-Level Technicians: Those new to the wind energy industry or technicians looking to enhance their knowledge and skills in mechanic, electric and hydraulic operations.

Maintenance Tehnicians: Individuals involved in the maintenance, servicing, and operation of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within wind turbine.

Theoretical lessons will be provided online via Zoom or in-person at the training center. Practical classes must be completed within 28 days of finishing the theoretical classes.
The price includes the WINDA fee, coffee breaks, lunch and parking.

Course Participant Prerequisites:
The course participants shall be medically fit, appear well-rested and be capable of fully participating showing no signs of fatigue, substance abuse or sickness.
The course participant shall have created a personal profile in WINDA, and have provided their WINDA ID prior to completing the GWO training.
