GWO BST FIRST AID | GWO BST FIRST AID REFRESHER

Enroll in the GWO BST First Aid to learn fundamental first aid skills that are applicable to onshore / offshore environments.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This module trains participants to recognize life-threatening situations in the wind turbine industry/WTG environment, provide safe and effective first aid, and prevent further injury until the casualty can be transferred to the next level of care.

COURSE CONTENT

Management of first aid incidents in WTG environments

Primary survey: ‘C’ – A – B – C approach

Addressing catastrophic external bleeding

Handling unresponsive situations

Managing airway obstructions

CPR for unresponsive individuals who are not breathing

Managing bleeding and shock situations

Providing First Aid for Relevant Incidents in industry (burns, chemical contacts to the eye, heart attacks & strokes, hypothermia, fractures, head-to-toe examination)

Scenario-based training ( managing incidents, providing necessary lifesaving first aid, correct use of first aid equipment, correct and safe use of an AED)

Target Audience:

Individuals aspiring to work in the wind energy industry.

Professionals currently engaged in turbine manufacturing, wind farm development, construction, and maintenance.

Course length:
GWO BST First Aid: 3.5 hours of e-learning and 4.5 hours of practical classes.
GWO BST First Aid REFRESHER: 3.5 hours of e-learning and 3.5 hours of practical classes.
Course ratings: Riga: 4.8/5.0 , Klaipeda : 4.9/5.0
Theoretical lessons will be provided online via the BOTC e-learning platform. Practical classes must be completed within 28 days of finishing the theoretical classes.
The price includes the WINDA fee, coffee breaks, lunch, and parking.

Course Participant Prerequisites:

The course participants shall be medically fit, appear well-rested, and be capable of fully participating, showing no signs of fatigue, substance abuse, or sickness.

The course participant shall have created a personal profile in WINDA, and have provided their WINDA ID prior to completing the GWO training.

When attending refresher training, the course participants must do so before the expiry of the previous training record’s validity period.
Certificate validity: 24 months
